Definition of Escapism:
habitual diversion of the mind to purely imaginative activity or entertainment as an escape from reality or routine.

The logical order:
In order for something to be hot, it must escape its state of being cold thus ending the state of “cold” and starting a state of “hot”. If one is to be happy, they must escape the state of being unhappy. If one escapes reality or life, then are they heading to a life of death?

I believe that life perpetuates it’s own existence within humans thus breaking this “logical order” of escaping a state. When a human decides to leave their current lifestyle with hopes of attaining a new and improved lifestyle, they are not escaping their current lifestyle to chase death. That would be illogical. They are escaping one’s life to live another that they purely imagine.

This concludes in my mind that human’s are conjured up from multiple lifestyles. Humans never live consistently due to the entertainment gained while conceiving their habitual imaginative thoughts, both fortunately and unfortunately. Fortunately because this allows for progress and evolution to be possible yet unfortunately because one is doomed to never acquire one’s own state of “identity” due to the consistent inconsistencies (fluctuations) during their lifetime (Identity - the state or fact of remaining the same one or ones, as under varying aspects or conditions).

I choose to escape lies and head to truths. I will leave this life of fallacies and remain consistently consistent. I am who I am and that is what I choose.

So familiar, compared to last year, yet so different.

Welcome back my new year.

So here we go…

I sat outside smoking a cig in the Texas cold, thinking how happy a time it is around Christmas for everyone.

This homeless cat comes up to my home door and sits waiting to be let in by me.

My initial outburst to the cat when I noticed it was “no. Quit begging. You just don’t get what you want in life sometimes”…

I was struck by my own words. No? Why no? I saw myself acting inhumane and then realized how the cat and I were so similar….

This year I’ve been looking in at familys’ homes, begging for some kind of support. I knew I needed someone just not who….

I walked over to the cat and said “Merry Christmas” and welcomed him inside.

I hope that cat turns out like how I did.

Every family of mine (my real family, SAE, ABO, and friends) let me in their doors and welcomed me with great hospitality. I never realized, until now, that the greatest gift to give is appreciation. When one appreciates another they give to them and when one receives a gift then shows appreciation a connection is formed. It reciprocates the act of giving between two. Thank you my families! May my appreciation be shown one day to all.

I am who I am because everyone that supported me knew who I was and kept me believing that I could be me :) the greatest gift of my life was all of you. Thank you.
